How silly. A few years ago people watched as the U.S. Dollar price of commodities and real estate quadrupled - and I never heard anyone worried sick about INFLATION.

I did.. many times.. on this thread and others. You don't remember Jay Chen (TJ) ever bringing up inflation for the past 8 years..? Or his corresponding mantra to buy gold?

From 2003:

"Greenspan is nursing a bubble that may break the world. History will be the judge."

"I don't understand how they get AAA for auto loans (unless
Ford/GM promise to make whole on all losses).
Also what I don't like that they price in swaps. As I
understand this it's leveraged on low short term rates. Am
I wrong?

Bear Stearns Securitizes $3B In Auto Loans From Big 3"

A random sample from 2003 indicates that many of thread participants saw that a bubble was forming.. their error was they early.
