And then there are the privacy issues

Interesting issue. Right now the government knows more about me than anyone of my family or friends. They have my bank account number because that's where they deposit my SS check. They have all my medical records because my doctor turns them in to get paid by Medicare. They know how much I make because I file a tax return that has details of all my finances. They know where I live, what I drive, how much I spend and on what, my phone number and if they wanted to know, they could figure out from my phone records who my friends and family are. If I had ever been arrested, they would know that and what it was for.

Is there some other privacy issue that I forgot?

Don't get me wrong - I don't like any of this. The government is already too much in people's life's. They don't need to be more so. I just think there's too much chatter and yelling that is distorting the real issues. Shouting at congresscritters accomplishes nothing. Calling people names like Nazis and astroturfers, mobs, etc., distracts and distorts - but maybe that's the game plan.
