Not strictly true. For example, the amount of regenerative braking varies quite a bit. Cars are a system. The best example is with trains. Which went through a Darwinnowing a long time ago. They are super-efficient and the Volt is the only thing that models them.

By the rules, plugins are acceptable. But even if they aren't, the Volt will kill normal hybrids.

Even if you aren't a train freak, you should realize the Volt is a major step forward. Sadly, I suspect you are too caught up in your partisanship to recognize it.
