One point -- You cannot really compare today's government with a private company. A better comparison would be with the private sector in general - which does more things better. Private companies do do things better. But they focus on their core competency, as you said. Government doesn't have that option... they have 1000 things to do. They screw up all the time... but no private company could take up their multi-tasking challenge and do better... IMHO. Hey, there is hope... As I recall, over time you and I did agree on several things, so maybe constructive debates are possible. Absolutely. I've changed my mind on a number of issues over the last 10 years. I can be convinced... but not easily. I need data. I suspect you are the same. Political tolerance is not when everyone agrees -- it is when we respect the right of the other person to have differing views... even when we feel about the issue strongly, and even passionately. No doubt. This thread usually rises above hyperbole. And I respect that.
