Dey got squad cards (detailed nicely with tire glaze) unmarked cars, take home vehicles, helicopters, fast boats, swamp buggies, horses, 4 wheelers. 6 figure salaries, retirement lump sum payouts and ~90% pensions not to mention raises. They have taken over several municipalities police depts to boot. They have to stay on top of all the poor people that have lost their jobs and are surviving hand to mouth.

Patron this area of FL must have the greatest disparity between wealth and poverty you'll ever see with only Miami even in the same ballpark. Picture Compton and Beverly Hills side by side buffered by a canal or railroad track.. There isn't the usual transition neighborhoods in many cases down here especially near the coast.. It's not that we see the crime as long as we know what and when to avoid things just like anyplace else. You can't help but encounter the nuts and crack addicts on the roads however which is always my greatest concern.
