Could be, but if the rate and execution of the 56 introduction is any indication, we are looking at another two three bad quarters before there is any impact.

I don't think so. Check this article about US West already deploying Pairgrain hardware and dumping Ascend hardware.

Rockwell has a history of yaking about something new way before they actually have it. For example 56K, they announced it a month before USR yet are still fumbling around trying to get it tuned in.
