I agree but the line I want to hear is "Medicare for everyone." Lawrence O'Donnell was on one of the MSNBC programs last night. He argued, from his perch as Moynihan's chief of staff in 93 and 94 (either that or the chief of staff for the Senate Finance Committee) that the biggest mistake the Dems made, and he agreed that Hillary Clinton made some doozies, was to not begin chanting "Medicare for everyone," the moment they lost. Anthony Weiner, the Dem NY Rep, made a somewhat similar point in a terrific appearance on Scarborough's show this morning. Gradually introduce Medicare, such that folk become eligible at 60, then a few years later at 55, and so on, until everyone has Medicare.

If the Dems only "lose well" with healthcare then you will hear the word "Waterloo" The deal here though is that solutions to our health care are urgently needed - even if the solution may be different than what dems want. Soooo, democrats may get a weird victory out of defeat. ....we tried to bring you health care the republicnas stopped it
