I was at home on that morning, but I'll TELL YOU, if I HAD been President and the Country had been under attack I WOULDN'T have just sat there to make 30 kids feel comfortable when the WHOLE COUNTRY appeared to be under ATTACK.

What if Bush had been told that Russia had launched all their Nukes. Would YOU have wanted him to just SIT there????

There's NO EXCUSE for Bush's complacency on that day and saying he wanted to avoid alarming some 3rd graders just doesn't CUT IT!!!

If Bush had been "babysitting" or "teaching" those kids at that time his response would have been ENTIRELY appropriate, but HE was the COMMANDER and CHIEF and he had a responsibility to MILLIONS of children.
