One other poster protested via PM and my reply was: He is unwilling to stick to points of substance; when he disagrees, he claims the other poster is irrational. That's a classic BS tactic to shut off real debate. It is specifically mentioned in the thread header, and I gave him two warnings before the ban. Three strikes rule - I was generous. I would also refer those who disagree to the thread header: Please try to keep the focus on specific policies, issues or statements rather than blanket accusations and name-calling like “The other side has no ideas” and “The other side doesn’t care about/is soft on _______.”

I have to agree with Ed on that. In part to get a good grub.<g> EDIT: I just read Dale's response. My response to that--well, true in part, but it probably would have been better to put the specifics on the thread header in the first or second warning. That was more clear than the warnings themselves. Aside from that, it was clear in Vinter's last post that he was trying, at least, to change his tone. All that said, I am not the Thread Boss and don't want to be.
