What's really sad is that Mary Jo Kopechne was an only child, the last of the Kopechnes. And she only lived 28 years.

That's sad. At least Kennedy had a reasonably long, advantaged life with lots of booze, women and power along the way.

Mary Jo? Drowned, alone, with no help from anyone.

She is a national hero. Without her, Ted Kennedy might well have become president.

I say this in all honesty: This woman saved our country from untold destruction at the hands of Teddy Kennedy.

She ought to be on Mount f*cking Rushmore.
