The Conference Board's indicators indices which, singly and in unison, do not inspire much confidence in me. Yes, there is a green shoot or two, but the hype about them is incredible. The shoots are tenuous in the extreme: conference-board.org

enacted Feb. 2009 ARRA $787 billion must work to reverse trend. ARRA is "a stimulus to the U.S. economy in the wake of the economic downturn. The measures are nominally worth $787 billion." Usually, as rule of the thumb, it takes 6 months for an impulse kick in the real economy. By now, Aug, 09, ARRA must be showing up its result. At least for me whose task is to follow those things for the thread.

just in in-tray Just put your mouse on a city anywhere in the world and the newspaper headlines pop up... Double click and the page gets larger...Then you can either read the pdf version or click through to the paper itself in the upper right corner.. newseum.org Also, if you look at the European papers, the far left side of Germany will pop up as The Stars & Stripes (European edition, of course). AND, this site changes every day with the publication of new editions of the paper Hope you enjoy this.
