Datek's servers got tied up a lot, But when one went down you tried another and there was one available if you tried hard enough. Datek also added 2 new ones today. A little late, but at least I can see them trying.

Bob,

I have accounts with ETrade, Accutrade and Tradewell. I get free real time quotes with Tradewell and had no problem with getting to them or with their quotes. I was able to get in one trade, but it didn't execute because it was a limit that was not met. So, I can't tell you how the execution aspect would have gone. Signing on and 20 minute delayed quotes worked ok with accutrade. Bought some mutual funds by phone--waited 10 minutes but execution ok. Couldn't sign on to ETrade and phone was busy with ETrade.
