Re -- I think that we are just now seeing a marketing side of Intel and that there will now be product differentiation which will further propel Intel.

A question to ask your friends (outside those in the industry), wether they have a pentium or a gateway system. The answer is interesting.

Pentium Bug, 3rd anniversary. On Oct 30, 1994, Dr. Thomas Nicely, a math professor exposed the Pentium bug on the internet. Three years & $1/2 a billion later, the Pentium brand name, has commanded the most public mindshare than probably any other Intel product.

Excellent case of Intel's quick response to any negative publicity.

Obviosly rumors of Intel's "..death were highly exaggerated" at the time.
