Those fires are something. When I was in high school I lived near Pasadena, right at the bottom of the San Angeles Forest. I went into the community darkroom one day to do photos and was in there for 8 or more hours. When I came out of that dark room, ash was falling from above and the sky was the eeriest color... I held my palms up, catching ash and thought... hmmmmm. A fire had taken hold in the forest and was close to jumping Foothill Blvd, our main road. Inteesting place to live in many ways....

I'm not near any of the fires so I'm just fine. Marie's ok too. Lots of smoke in her neighborhood.

Whew!! So glad to hear that she and her family are OK...Just had to look ahead at what else you'd said to know....Also, that was an interesting link from ABC....In Oxnard, someone has murdered a 1984 Olympian....So very very sad!
