Those fires are something. When I was in high school I lived near Pasadena, right at the bottom of the San Angeles Forest. I went into the community darkroom one day to do photos and was in there for 8 or more hours. When I came out of that dark room, ash was falling from above and the sky was the eeriest color... I held my palms up, catching ash and thought... hmmmmm. A fire had taken hold in the forest and was close to jumping Foothill Blvd, our main road. Inteesting place to live in many ways....

Excellent news. Keep us posted. I'm not near any of the fires so I'm just fine. Marie's ok too. Lots of smoke in her neighborhood.
