Those are outstanding pictures of a major fire. A fire that size creates its own weather. The energy release is comparable to that of a nuclear explosion.

Lordy! Is the group of fires up by La Crescenta and Glendale the one they call the Station Fire? Looks like 3 hurt as of now...and I couldn't tell, but it sounds as if the fires are close (or not too far away) from JPL.....

Hopefully the coming Marine air coming in tomorrow or Monday will help.....Those things are truly scary!
