I don't think it really mattered that the girls stood on North Korean soil for even a minute. Just being there is a risk they were willing to take, at least at the time. Is it worth it in order to get stories of human trafficking and human rights violations in the area? You can decide for yourself, but know that to most Koreans, this is an issue really dear to their hearts. You might see their kidnapping (and yes, I'm using the word "kidnapping" on purpose) as a result of their naivety, and I wouldn't be able to argue against that. But more importantly, I think this is real evidence of how bad things really are in North Korea, how evil personality cults take a toll on millions of Asians in the area, and how the so-called "superpowers" involved in the region are powerless to do anything about it.
