I grant you that Michael Jackson is more famous than Dawkins, Myers and the others discussed here. However Jackson isn't related to the topic of this thread.

I didn't refer to it as a journal. Its a magazine and its subject is science. Now why is Michael Shermer, a non-scientist who does no research, writing a column in it?
