FWIW 2 days ago I woke up here
near the top of Beartooth Pass coming out the north east side of Yellowstone National Park WY. Highway 212. We ran out of daylight so camped as shown in the picture, about 10K feet up under a little glacier (or big snowcap... take your pick).. From just at the glacier base the view was this.. where we camped cradled in a hairpin turn on a small bypass pad.. To the right .. the drop was incredible.. to the left the last leg of the climb.. Most of the ride you had a precipice to one side or the other ... a few feet away.. We passed a truck coming at us around a blind corner at one point with what was inches to spare..

Views were incredible.. but my fingers have now left indelible fingerprints in the Explorer's steering wheel... Now I'm safely ensconced in a campground near Duluth Minnesota on the way home.. elevation 1200ft with mostly nice flat terrain LOL
