So have I, and it is very clear that they knowingly reduced job stimulation for this year, to benefit their party next year...

Just take a moment to really think about the suffering people without jobs are going through, the loss of homes...all to benefit their political party.

This is not acceptable. Every decent human being should be upset.

I've had direct experience with people who are spending stimulus money.

and how exactly will we realize those profits? are we going to get a check that says "profits from your government mandated investment in the financial industry"? Will we get interest? or maybe we'll get some nice healthy tax cuts? LOL...yeah right.

The truth is the government (taxpayers) are going to get some of it back from the bail out investments in C, BAC, WFC, et al. which are paying off handsomely right now. Now, that doesn't mean I agree with what they did in principal. But that part, at least, is not going to break the country. The stimulus plan, on the other hand, is a ridiculous waste of the country's wealth and needs to be repealed now.

"how exactly will we realize those profits?"

We'll "realize" them if we get MORE back than we PUT in.

I don't think I ever said that I supported the stimulus bill. I DID say that a stimulus was going to be coming regardless of who won the last election. Bush did the first stimulus by justing sending out $160 billion in checks to everybody.

Is the WHOLE stimulus a "joke" or are there good parts and bad parts or what?

"rammed through congress before anybody could study it"

ALL these Senators and Congressmen have a GAZILLION staffers and they can get as many more as they want....so if ANY of them say they got "blindsided" by legislation then I think they're either incompetent or lying.
