Yeah, I heard that.

Perhaps it's too early to tell if it works or not but - so far - it hasn't moved the birth rate needle even a blip....

Maybe Putin should be taxing vodka a bit more... or else paying people to not drink, since their adults (especially men) are dying off younger then anywhere else in the developed world, and that contributes to the falling population as well....

What happens when our 6 billion turns into 10 billion and then even 20 billion?

With current demographic trends we may never reach 20 billion.

But if we did it wouldn't be a huge issue as long as we only reached that level in the context of technological advancement, greater political and economic freedom, and a climate of economic growth, and if we don't reach that level too quickly.
