The legislation will pass and it will be a good bill, because it will begin the process of putting order into what is now a mess. I don't know how anyone could say that it will pass or that it will be a good bill because the process is so mired down at this point it just isn't possible to establish either of these points as fact. As to the current mess, it needs some work but one thing is certain -- there are many more ways you can screw up what we have than there are to improve what we have. .if you made constructive critiques and offered plausible alternatives you'd deserve credit. Not sure who you are referring to, but the Rs in Congress have tried to get a foot in the door on this legislation and have gotten nothing. The most obvious proof of this is the lack of any tort reform in ANY of the current bills. A bill without tort reform doesn't even pass the laugh test. And now, Obama has put a former lobbiest for the trial lawyers in charge of looking at tort reform as an option. But the resounding threat of using an end-run around the legislative process is at least as bad. I'm sure that is lost on you. The very idea of putting a lobbiest for the lawyers in charge of researching tort reform is obscene. Something only a liberal can appreciate.

The extremism that's coming from your side is unprecedented and astounding. What's really going to drive them crazy? Obama and the Dems will pass a good health bill that will bring down health care costs. Obama will end the Iraq war and cut military spending and we'll have a 'peace dividend' economy and start cutting the deficit. It will be generally acknowledged that the Obama admin saved us from a depression. Next up... energy. Obama's legacy will be assured, probably within his first 2 years. The obstructionist Republicans will look worse and worse as time goes on.... That's why they are acting so crazy. They are getting their lunch handed to them.

Don't forget their insanity.......they all badly need some therapy for a wide range of issues including sexual dysfunction, racism, chronic lying, unable to deal with the truth, homophobia, sociopathy, narcissism, etc. So many shrinks would be employed it would probably increase the GDP by a percentage point.
