What is the upside for Obama to jump trough hoops for obvious nut cases? To verify his citizenship in order to qualify for the office he holds. The noise is only going to get louder and can negatively impact any re election bid. Nut cases want him to verify his citizenship status as do regular, everyday people. The birthers have pretty much marginalized themselves by being completely uncritical of the kenyan BC and dismissive of the Hawaiian BC Once again you use a leftist term that means nothing. There are no birther meetings. No birth chapters. No birther unions. No organized community birthers. There are no birthers. Its invented. Its people who want the citizenship status of the President verified, no matter how unsavory that may be to those who don't want to face the ultimate truth of the discovery.
