But it is clear that the Ds are, from a policy perspective, a disaster pretty much every time they've occupied the office. I have clearly stated that Clinton, under Gingrich's direction, did a pretty good job with his economic policy. There was plenty not to like about Clinton, but that he allowed Gingrich to take him to a better place, economically, is a tribute to Clinton.
