It really blows my mind that Newbridge or Lucent hasen't gobbled this entire company up by now.I mean both (NN,LU) are such big players in TMN and ATM. Look what happened to Yurie Systems(Yuri), the stock has gone from 8-40 this yr. alone. The valuation on YURI is 900 Million with a 30 Million sales rate.Yuri is a one product company. You get two for the price of one when you buy Retix.
I have no doubt that Retix- Sonoma/Vertel will make it in the long run. But seriously, granted they don't exactly have 20% sales growth ,why isn't Wallstreet taking notice? One would think that Money managers would want to take a risk for a windfall!!

Adam,

I was looking through some of the past HP OpenView announcements. Do you remember seeing this one about NEC?

hp.com

Well, over in the QCOM thread, there is talk about an NEC contract awarded in Brazil for a CDMA system:

techstocks.com

I think it may be worthwhile to follow some of the other OpenView licensees to get a clue about Retix future prospects.

This was from another HP press release on the OpenView Telecom web page ( hp.com ):

"HP currently licenses the HP OpenView telecom TMN
platform to leading hardware manufacturers like NCR, Data General, Group Bull, Hitachi, NEC, Siemens-Nixdorf and
Stratus."
