All my life. But I grew up in a tough town, Richmond California with an alcoholic father, so I was slow to figure things out. No guidence in my youth. I worked in a paper bag factory after high school for a couple of years before going to college.

Then I stumbled into college at about 20 and knew nothing.

Then when I was a junior in college, I had an epiphany and realized I not only did not know the answers, I did not even know the questions.

I had no idea why Plato was such an important figure in history.

So I spent the next two years reading every great mind I could think of to see if I could understand what they were talking about, so I could figure out what it was they understood that I did not.

Two years later I finally made some headway and ended up an existentialist, but it was a long hard journey.
