David,

Many thanks for sharing the highlights with us.

It seems as if the SVGL division is "for real". IMO, SVGI could throw away track and thermal, and still have a company worth more than today's price.

re Micrascan orders: The press release which I read for the quarterly report stated: "39 orders were received of which 19 were included in backlog." the other 20 were for delivery more than 1 year from now.
The Korean announcement that I read appears to be an order for 6 Micrascan IIIs and was not specific whether or not the order was just received in this new quarter (not included in the earnings release announcement) or whether the order was received last quarter (included in the earnings release). My WAG is the latter.

Sounds like we'll have anywhere from a few days to a few months to top up on SVGI should we so wish.

Ian.

Thanks David for a great summary. You mentioned that SVGL is planning to open a second manufacturing building. Do they plan to increase capacity beyond the 200/year goal, or is it a step in reaching that goal?
I'm also curious if anyone can listen in on the CCs. I made a quick try but didn't have codes.
Thanks again
Juniper

David, let me add my thanks for the CC notes. Does anyone know for a fact whether Micrascan III has demonstrated at .18um and, if so, whose phase shift mask they were using? There seems to be a strong inference that this has occurred.

A very good sign of confidence in the company from the pre-orders for Micrascan IV -- a nice, what, $90MM development fund from big buyers. I'm holding what I have of SVGI, but I'm not buying more until I see some earnings and (considering SGV's new Asian exposure) a little more stability in the Pacific Rim. The upside is huge right now, but there are a lot of cheap stocks and SVG is going to have to show the analysts some actual earnings before the price really soars.
