The methane in question is not being formed deep in the ground. It is shallow enough that the melting permafrost releases it.

So! that was not the point, the point is that you equated methane chlathrates as different than methane hydrate, then clamed you cannot have methane chlathrate in permafrost. You either are lacking in knowledge and BSing that you have knowledge, or you need to improve your communication skills.
