You're educating me, MJ. I went to highschool in the 1960's and I don't remember the girls there having the opportunity to play sports, but apparently my highschool was an anomaly and sports were available to the girls in OTHER highschools since your Mother was playing Center on a team in the 1930's. That seems to end that discussion. As far as women being treated with "respect", I'm not really sure what YOUR "millieu" WAS. I can only base my judgements on my OWN firsthand observations from that time.
