Well, folks, at this time it does look like the stock market is going to slide for the rest of the afternoon into tomorrow. I don't know how steep the drop will be (even assuming there is one), but maybe the faint-of-heart shouldn't look at stock prices tomorrow. Oh well, I see it as another buying opportunity.

To all:

- Deutch Morgan increased estimates on Dell Today to .65

- Goldman Sachs said fears of Dells growth problems are unjustified.

Regarding earnings growth long term, its important to note that more and more companies are upgrading to client servers to handle the year 2000 problem. In addition, India is still ripe. And Dell has yet to touch China. Furthermore, there is a larger and larger happy customer base that will return to Dell for Merced and other Moore's law specials. To me, this translates to perhaps annual increases of greater than the talked about 30% because of the strong potential of realizing many of the above factors.
