CPQ's unit ASPs decreased by ~ $150 to about 2330 but their overall margins improved significantly. I do not expect any further eroison in CPQs ASP this quarter. Also, I expect that their dominance of the low cost PC market will be severely challenged by HP, Packard Bell and perhaps IBM. So there is little profit in that market for them.

All this means is that the vast bulk of their profit is comming from their higher end products. Nevertheless, the low cost PC is a tactical weapon in the retail channel. It tends to displace shelf space for the competition.
