Slider you are a much more radical conspiracy theorist than I am. You see a vast conspiracy to destroy American sovereignty and establish a socialist republic. I don't think anyone can deny the huge financial and political power of the Zionist lobby-- a small minority of Jews who in their entirety account for less than 2% of the US population. Their prominence in the financial industry and among big donors to both parties is a key reason why so much money was directed at bailing out corrupt financial institutions and so little at helping average folks IMHO. Their political and economic power also is perhaps the major factor -- along with the military industrial complex -- in pushing the US to invade Iraq and Afpac as well as threaten Iran -- a mortal enemy of the Taliban. Never mind that Israel has hundreds of nukes and Iran none -- A single Iranian nuke in the future is said to pose an "existential" threat to the Jewish state.

I often don't understand everything I read here but God bless Slider for the patience to teach me and others. On this topic, I don't know if anyone saw the message I posted a few days ago where this Beverly Hills Jew is totally and completely fed up with the sickening abuse of power in Israel and its influence on everybody on the planet resulting in unbelievable evil and suffering. So, I am publicly denouncing Israel, my faith (don't practice it anyway) and any claims I might have on citizenship in Israel Message 25958286 Tonight a Jewish couple I see every night when walking my dogs in Vancouver get very angry with me over the article about Israeli soldiers and police torturing, abusing Palestinian children out of enjoyment. The couple said it was justified because one never knows which of these kids has a bomb strapped to them.... same ol same ol stuff. I said yes no one knows but the newspaper article quoted the soldier as saying that this was routine and the soldiers enjoyed it is some sadistic level. The post he was responding to, was my response to MAZ who was complaining about too much politics, and saying the board was now "moderated by Glenn Beck." The main point of Crimson Ghost's response was... "You boldly speak out about many things but your silence on the role of the Israel lobby in all this is hard to understand." This didn't have anything to do with the Israel lobby. And this isn't the first time Crimson Ghost has raised this particular issue with me, on posts that don't have anything to do with Israel, and it's become kind of an ongoing straw man argument. And my challenge to all of those who we're playing games and circulating PM's to run up the reco numbers, was to simply step up to the pump... and tell us all about Zionism, the Israel lobby, and the "dual loyalist Zionist Jew bankers"... that I have continually "been silent about." I wanted to make two points. The first being that this had nothing to do with the Israel lobby, or "dual loyalist Jew bankers." It had to do with straw man ankle biting. And the second, was that not more than one, or two people out of the 33 (eventually 41) called out, would possess the cajones to even address the subject. And that brings up the third point... This is a subject that I feel most people are highly mis-informed about. And it's a subject that should be addressed, but sadly... as we just learned, it's a subject that gets very emotional, real fast. And understandably so. I think it's best to let this one cool off for a few days. And then I think I'm going to approach this in a unique way, because I believe the problem with this subject is one of authority vs. truth... as most people on this issue have taken authority as truth, rather than truth as authority. And the most important truths are the ones you discover for yourself. SOTB
