Notice the word you used -----

a "measley $500 billion"

That's part of the problem ------when we think of 'measley billions and trillions' there is no incentive to cut expenditures.

When one values large amounts of $ as 'measley', the concept of the lowest amounts---pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters, dollars, 5 dollars, 10, 20, 50 , 100 is not understood.

When those 'measley' billions get broken down into the specific amounts that are being spent--------that is when the savings can be made.

In part, this is an affliction of Obama and his generation----he has no real concept of money in my opinion. Quite frankly he is a very dangerous person economically to have in the position he is in.

Go back and consider the Rezko deal on the property in Chicago. His financial experience?

Let's make it a LOT easier for you and ask how you'd cut just $200 billion?

Way too easy - cancel the rest of the stimulus that doesn't even get spent until 2010 and later. That should be well over $400 billion perhaps even $500.

Skip this health care crap, end cap and trade talks and start looking for all the savings that's currently wasted in medicare and medicaid that blabby says he's going to find to finance the health care system. Allow insurance to be sold across state lines, negotiate better drug pricing for both medicare and medicaid.
