One more Apple related thought. These days I am not happy with many decisions in the Mac part of Apple. I do not like laptops with batteries I cannot replace. Laptops are for travel. Travel often requires multiple batteries. My travel certainly does. For this crucial reason, I may be forced into buying a hackintosh, when I have to replace my aging, now out of AppleCare warranty, repaired numerous times, first generation MacBook Pro. I do not want to do that, but don't see how I can survive with a built-in battery. Also, I already said that I sorely miss a Mac notebook. That is why I purchased a $400 Dell mini 9 hackintosh, months ago. I am not alone. Since then, about half a dozen people I know have followed suit. That is not good for Apple's bottom line. Even if I liked the rumored tablets, which I don't, I fear the only one with OSX on it will be the top, 15" model, which I assume will be more expensive than a MacBook. Bottom line, what bothers me the most is that I see the Mac line of products moving rapidly toward the iPhone model of buy it, don't think about upgrading it, instead throw it away in a year or so. Great for shareholders, not great for lifelong Apple users, such as myself.

I do not have personal experience as an Apple employee. I've been self-employed since 1980. What I posted is what I read, and what I heard from Apple Genius friends.

I do have personal experience as an Apple Genius so I can say the health coverage was great.

I also read the article and was the one that originally posted it.

The accounts of life in Apple Retail were disturbing and as an concerned investor make me want to see that Apple fixes issues like these quickly.

Also from your other post I did just get a new Macbook Pro and was worried about not being able to replace the battery. So far I've been very happy with how long the new battery last and haven't had it die on a shoot yet.

I also take a charger with me in case I need it and there are some that run on car batteries available as well.

Glad the Photography is good and love seeing your work. I love shooting theater and opera, wish I could do more of it.
