Execellent posting! Nations make 'bombastic verbalizations' for internal consumption to divert their ignorant masses from the tough realities they live in.

Unsophisticated countries do not use diplomacy. If they did, they would assess, beforehand, the impact of those verbalizations, for internal consumption, on foreigners.

Neither they take into consideration the use use their enemies make of those verbalziations to advance their own case.

Countries where a small clique of oligarchs holds the economic power are very averse to outsiders, (Russia, Iran, Venezuela are case in point) They behave that way to avoid foreigners and foreign views opening the eyes of their ignorant masses.

Ignorant masses like leadership not accountable to outsiders. It gives them a sense of superiority. A sense of spurious respectability. This is achieved by clever machinery of 'working up the crowds'.

I did not learn that living and working abroad. I learned that experiencing the military dictatorship fo Brazil in the 70s.

That's right. I remember back in 1939 when Poland poked its fingers in the eyes of Germany, and started WWII in Europe.
If Iran doesn't back down, it could happen again.

This nut Ahmadinejad whom you consider to be so dangerous has done what (beyond making stupid statements about Israel)? Has he invaded any country? Has he launched attacks on other countries? The US invaded Iran's neighbour under false pretences. Israel invaded Lebanon and destroyed Gaza. If Iran is poking its finger into the eyes of the West, what language would you use to describe the US invasion and occupation of Iraq?
