So you would discriminate on the basis of a person's size. Interesting. This is a government job. Can you get any more intrusive and statist than not giving people jobs because they are heavy, or plump? What's next? No jobs for smokers? Drinkers? I mean come on. What is relevant are her policies, not her own weight. Most people in America will never know her name or what she looks like- but they will be affected by policies of the admin- and so far, what I've seen from this admin, is a very public push for better food. Perhaps, rather than focusing on discriminating against individuals, you should focus on policy issues. I was quite surprised you'd use the machinery of employment to attack people. Don't you claim to be a libertarian? Or do I have you mixed up with someone else? cnn.com I take the weight problem in this country seriously- but discriminating against a woman who is a size 18 and has the outstanding qualifications this woman does? I realize fat people, smokers and drinkers make fun targets- and everyone seems to think it's fair game to abuse fat people. That used to be one of the funnier things on SI- people would accuse folks they'd never seen of being "fat"- like that's the worst insult there is (which kind of made me wonder about the size of the folks hurling the insults, since there is so much self hate involved in being fat.)
