The democrats are working to disenfranchise the elderly by reducing their benefits. The rationing of care should trim them from the voting roles quickly. Apparently the surviving middle aged beneficiaries of the redistribution are their intended voters.

.... To begin with, the younger generations are already saddled with an obligation to support us, the baby boomers... who had negative savings for years... and are losing in the markets (and in falling RE values) whatever we did manage to accumulate. I have big doubts that this will be sustainable.

Whether through cuts in expenditures -- or through dilution of money -- but ultimately we'll all find ourselves living (and using services) within our (personal and collective) means. Can't legislate world class healthcare for every person when your pocket is empty.
