In the past, Japan probably did not worry too much about a strong Yen because they had such a cost effective manufacturing base.

These days though, Japan has to compete with China with it's semi pegged Yuan to the USD.

The DT is talking the story of what is expected to be done next. i.e Buy USD's and sell JPY's.

We need stable exchange rates for global trade and recovery. Currency speculators must work harder -g-
