Sorry guys, but I have a problem here: First of all 'statutory rape' doesn't meet the requirements of 'rape' in Europe.

That said, I don't believe having sex with a 13 year old girl while up in your forties is a defendable thing.

I agree.

But, even 'real rape' getting sex by use of force on the street so to say, was not at that time a crime subject to being pursued by this time according to Swiss law.

Yes, but Polanski skipped out back then......he may be real sorry he did so. His punishment now may be much worse.

What really disturbs me here is, that in the wake of hunting down US tax evaders hiding in Switzerland and the UBS scandal, the US IRS and others taking a free piggy back ride on top of that, are invading Swiss leagal legacy territory.

The US IRS is extending it's powers well beyond where it should be allowed to go IMO.

And you guys seem to be going along with that.

Not really. I thought the same thing as well but last nite, some attorney said this is pretty standard stuff between friendly countries. And as I understand it, this is not between the feds and Switzerland but the DA's office in LA and the Swiss.

Thank God we already got the Beken guys to attend to our needs getting hell out of San Diego :)

You'd better pay any leftover taxes or the long arm of the IRS will get you. The US badly needs money. ;-)
