The CSCC merger really undermined my respect for mgt. Their strategic wisdom was not obvious. I think that they paid too much because they were overly concerned about the competitive environment. Had they waited a while, CSCC could have been had for a fair price.

If Ascend had not purchase CSCC, this would be $15 stock currently. Remote access rev was down significantly last Q. W/o switch revenue, the company would have likely shown a small profit at best. The acquisition of CSSC was prudent from the standpoint that the company would have been acquired by someone else by now. This acq makes an awful lot of sense but the time for digestion was clearly underestimated. This is typically the case for tech merger IMO.
