Is it by example? Is it by self sacrifice? Could be a sequence of both. But I think any more by Obama to replace him will destroy moral for the soldiers deployed in that theater. I think Jim Jones is providing some shielding for McChrystal against any wrath by Obama white house apparachiks. Jones was a former commandant of the Marine Corps and he well knows his Marines are at as much risk in Afghanistan as Army grunts. But McChrystal spent most of his military life in the "shadows", leading Rangers, and as commander of JSOC (which includes elements like Delta and DEVGRU). Hawk
