When we were in Denver, I heard reports of snow, but they were talking about I-90 and I-25, which would be up around Buffalo, WY. Phew! Dodged that one. We were not prepared for snow.

While in Denver, I visited with an old friend from my DOJ days. He and his partner had owned a conference center and catering business they sold a year ago, just before the melt-down. They have been trying to sell their house on Lookout Mountain, without success. Have it rented for 3 years and are preparing for a move to the Big Island of Hawaii. Dave is packing the house up and they are shipping their things over in two 20' and 40' containers. I don't envy them the task, but I do confess to a slight bit of envy having to do with the weather in Hawaii that they'll be experiencing.

PS - our trip got us wondering why people around my part of the world go out into the wild Elk hunting? My friend had 3 large elk in the field next to his house, and we saw about 20 grazing on the grass in a townhouse development near Genesee.
