If Bush/Cheney had put together the kind of successful counter-terrorism record we've seen over the last nine months, I suspect we'd be hearing quite a bit about it from Republican officials and their allies. No. What we'd be hearing from the Left is, "This was a rinky-dink, fly-by-night, unorganized amateur that could have never gotten the plan off the ground, and that the Feds set up just so they could point to something and call it a "success". We heard this about every significant attempt that was broken up under the Bush administration.
