Charles Krauthammer's essay excellent. He has one of the greatest minds of our time. Whenever he speaks I always shut up and listen.

Sent a URL of Krauthammer's article to Thomas Barnett and got this snarky reply. He is really gone on Obama's FP. >>>So I'm guessing you're really angry over the Nobel too. Then it's suitable to enjoy this, because Krauthammer's your man to pretend this structural reality can all be whisked away with words (of course it can, because Obama created it with mere words!). But I find it sad and pathetic to resort to such infantile logic, not to mention the frantic projection upon the Left. Time for both of us to move on to more sensible tracks, as we define them.

Lindy, It is my belief that we as a nation will have to withdraw from the world stage as policeman. We simply cannot afford it. Every welfare state has been forced to slash their military expenditures. We are no different. We are broke and getting broker - without any new programs. The types of decisions needed to avoid that are simply not possible. SS and Medicare alone are budget busters. Failure to get our house in financial order will wreck everything. I can hear it now - "Yankee Come Back" - lol - they love to hate us - but they will learn. It is a lot like the Dems in their years of criticizing Bush - damn the realities of having to govern. Bob

The One is making it too easy for his opponents. If there is one thing that binds most Americans it is their individuality. We (most of us anyway) were born and raised on it. We ate it for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and one smart alec from Kansas/Hawaii/Chicago isn't going to "change" that. Most of us are going to align ourselves with a consistent and strong leader who understands individuality, choice and freedom and has the intellect to point out what we've lost. The One has only offered up.......or is it demanded........subjugation and has indentured us to a future without hope. We see and know this.
