Sorry, Kayaker, that was just a jibe. I'm sorry you took it seriously.

Even tho I was raised by the Jesuits, I don't get into wars of religion where both sides are closed to the arguments of the other.

How was the data behind the Global land and sea temperatures acquired? Who did it? How did they measure it? Who audited the data?

I am not disputing your data, just asking how meaningful is it?

There is so much crap science involved in GW that a rational person who has not yet made up their mind is confused and does not know what to believe. We need more than graphs to support the conclusions.

They may be correct, I don't know. Do you?

Best,

JRH

Kayaker, it's a valiant effort. But GW is for some a political issue and emotion guides their objectivity. For those, no amount of data, no unanimity among climatologist, no consensus will ever shake their faith. For example, maybe somebody has been collecting bad data regarding ocean temperatures and we should toss it all out? Just maybe?

I've decided that I should pull back on the debate, time will work, despite the millions of dollars being deployed to cast doubt.

when were the 5 coldest years :O)

This chart is interesting... seems all the big heat action is concentrated in the last 10 years .. (20 years definitely heating up which is why winter today is not the winter of my youth) barring that ... there is a lot of cooling... No I do not know what to make of it except that it is pretty skewed in the last 10 years .. dramatic actually... and without the last 10 years GW is not apparent from this data.. considering 'the last century' is an oft used reference point (a sub atomic reference in the geological time scale) ... Case could be made for anthropogenic or aberration I guess.. but the heat evidence of eh last while is apparent..

Would like to see something similar from NASA..

Edit: Took my kid to African Lion Safari west of Toronto this Sunday.. Noticed lots of homes having geothermal heating/cooling put in ...
