I still think there's a case to be made for both at least for the short term. Deploy both in scale short term and see what happens in the real world vs. speculation and conjecture based on wildly divergent sources and conclusions. Get enough ng and all electric (and assume there are still significant gasoline/elec. hybrids) out there in large numbers for say, two or three or five years (pick some time in that range) and then look at the data, which should be clear by then, but if not, a lot will be learned how to continue to improve overall efficiencies from ALL sources.

What do we have to lose?
