The real estate mkt has taken a bad beating in some parts of the country.........not so much in others. The prices of homes and condos in FL are staggeringly low. I think the same situation applies to AZ right now too. My son is in the mkt to buy his first home, and has been edged out on every offer. His last offer was for a 1230 sq ft house that needed some cosmetic work on a smallish albeit fully fenced lot and someone offered $30,000 over his price. It was listed at $239,000 and sold for $270,000. It is in a nice neighborhood with desirable schools, but geesh!
