JOE sounds like you are a Schwab representative. You would think you had something to lose from a law suit against Schwab. Just exactly what is your position.

Schwab customers pay 3 times the amount of other discounts broker. They expected Schwab to handle the volume better. When traders can't access their money period someone is in clear violation of their contract. I saw a commercial on CNBC yesterday for Schwab stating exactly what I said that they can provide better service on heavy volume days. They had the gall to show a trader not being able to access his broker. So he should call Schwab HAA. Any actions whatever they cost are to have Schwab accept the responsibility of their contract not blame the customers phone service for internet provider their own E- trade programs failed tremendously. The only whining here is from you Joe.

I once lived in a house in a flood plain. I owned the house outright, and instead of just depending on blind luck, I took precaution against unusual but statistically likely event by taking out flood insurance. Three times normal volume level is a lot more likely to happen than a flood. Schwab didn't take out insurance. We were paying big enough fees that there shouldn't have been a line.
I agree about litigation. I will be moving much of my account elsewhere, and filing complaints with the appropriate authorities. That's the best way to punish Schwab. Anybody want to take bets on how long they will sit on the transfer request?
