It is such a silly question, it is hard for me to take seriously? It doesn't matter what caused it. It happened. And it will happen again and again as long as countries have the power to destroy the each other and the earth.

The human species is not very sane. So someone will always eventually take us to the brink again. It is a statistical certainty.

Statisticians have already worked out the probability.

And we came real close that time. See the movie 13 days!
