I have looked at this pretty hard for 2-3 years..I am not sure "I" want to go anywhere permanently ,yet.

But i would like to have some assets invested in other countries, and held outside the US,or actual stock certificates on companies elsewhere that i could physically hold here. I have a few already...Goldcorp is one. .

A good thing would be an Asian "Warren buffet"type company that I could hold the stock certificates.

Sinclair has made several good points, one being to have as few people between you and your assets as possible, eliminating intermediaries.

and, yes,i have a fair amount of physical PM's..

Holding stock certificates, holding gold, and owning foreign real estate are the only things i have found to be both legal and attractive. And the real estate can be tricky.

i looked at Montevideo closely, and may go shoot doves there and nose around.Any other ideas?

My short list is Panama, and Hong Kong.

More than likely they will be on MY street throwing me out of MY home.
