I'm measuring by the effect of the party's actions, not by who they're able to fool into voting for them. When McCain appeared on the View, Whoopi asked him if she'd be enslaved if he got elected. Weird thinking like that is how they get a lot of blacks to vote Democrat. A majority of black people favor school choice and a voucher system to supplement failing public schools, favor controlling illegal immigration, and are conservative on values issues like gay marriage (see CA vote - 70% of blacks in the most liberal state voted against it). The first two of those issues very negatively affect poor blacks - its their kids that are stuck in failing schools and their young people who can't get the entry level jobs illegal aliens from third world countries take. Yet black people vote for the party which is against their interest on important issues. Its tragic. A minority has opened their eyes and we can hope more will over time.
